I jumped on a Starlux flight from Taipei to Saigon to visit the factory in district 7. I wanted to check on our build, which is reaching the half-way point, as well as to drop off some connectors and cables for some variation that were working with Seawind to install.

The production supervisor Khang was extremely friendly and helpful, walking me through the production work order, the changes to production and engineering to resolve issues seen in earlier hulls, and also described the QA process at every step of the way. I also got to see some of the new models such as the 1270, 1160XL (super cool boat), as well as the existing models in the production line.

I was given free reign to roam the 1370 production line when the workers were on break so I had the chance to take very close look at my build as well as the build of the adjacent boats in the line (2 of them will join us in Seattle this year).

While I already know about the Seawind construction method, it's reassuring to see all deck hardware are thru-bolted and carbon bulkheads are glassed.
